I stayed at the Castle in June 09, just before peak season. In a word, I'd rate this hotel as 'wonderful'. My room in the main building was perfect; cool and palatial. The hotel and its grounds were beautiful and although english is hardly spoken in the area, the staff (and Hungarians generally) couldn't be more helpful and friendly. My visit to Balaton and the Castle in particular was a real tonic and a breath of fresh air when compared to many of Europe's over-hyped/over-prices resorts. 10 out of 10 to the Castle and its staff!
