+ standard of accommodation good English language skills of front desk staff excellent choice and quality of buffet breakfast - a detailed map of the location of the hotel would have been helpful - I had to ring the reservations agency for directions (which were given very clearly in excellent English by a very knowledgeable lady). It would be helpful to be told that the Elizabeth Bridge runs through the middle of marcius 15 ter and that the hotel is to the left of the bridge when facing the river. The City Hotel Matyas is clean and pleasant and the breakfasts are excellent - there's a good choice of high quality food. The hotel is near a metro station, several bus lines and the No 2 tram line (which follows the river promenade). There are numerous restaurants , a small supermarket and two bookshops which stock English language books nearby. There is also a delightful inexpensive Jegbuffet (ticket buffet) which sells great cakes three minutes' walk away.
