The central block of the present hotel building serves our guests from 1915, the name of the former Imperial Hotel is preserved by one of the function rooms. After its reopening in 1985, the hotel was modernised several times. The Grand Hotel Hungaria is the patron of modern Hungarian art: the majority of the works of art were ordered by the hotel, thus the artists were inspired by the place of their display. The most famous of the thirty artists are the renowned sculptors Miklós Melocco, Pál Kő and Péter Vladimir, Zsuzsa Péreli whose tapestries are known all over the world and Attila Zsigmond, György Puiz and Barna Bardócz reputable masters of applied arts.

As it is located along the main traffic line of the city's heart, leading to the Elizabeth Bridge, Best Western Grand Hotel Hungaria has excellent public transport connections (metro and railway stations nearby) ensuring easy access to the most important parts of the city and the countryside. The hotel is only a few minutes walk to all major shopping and business centres and the historical old downtown with the tourist attractions worth visiting.
