I arrived at 9pm on Thursday night - I was exhausted and hungry but there was nowhere in the hotel to eat or even get a cup of tea. The night manager made me a cup of tea which I thought was kind of him; however, on checking out, I was very taken aback that I had been charged 550 h for this 'kindness'. My room smelled awful -like bad drains -the decor was nothing like the website and the comfort level was just adequate and I felt the room rate was higher than the standard of the hotel warranted. I will be going back to Budapest in six weeks time and I will not be staying at Hotel Ambra.
