The hotel was conveniently located and the staff were helpful and polite with many speaking English well. The hotel had a traditional atmosphere and was comfortable. The room was a typical (travelodge) layout and was fine except for two faults; the first being ineffective air con which was necessary, even in April, as a result of having to keep the windows closed to reduce traffic noise and the second was an ugly damp stain in the ceiling next to the window. Actually a further fault was that the curtains did not fully cover the window which was a bit disconcerting. These faults, though, were really fairly trivial and did not affect our enjoyment of our 4 day stay in the lovely and very interesting city of Budapest.
