              Hotel Raba is an elegant, historic hotel, located right in the centre of Gyor, an enchanting Baroque town within easy reach from both Budapest and Vienna. The hotel has been serving its guests for 100 years; it was first opened as the Meixner-Royal Hotel, named after its founder. The elegant city centre hotel has been a favoured dwelling place of celebrities visiting the western part of Hungary ever since. The town includes many memorials of 1000-year-old Hungarian Christianity. The Episcopate was founded by St. Stephen, the first Hungarian king, the Basilica and the Bishop's Castle are all well worth a visit. The three-star hotel welcomes guests with 134 rooms in one wing, and 21 suites on the executive side. Room equipment always includes a bathroom, direct dial telephone, colour TV with satellite programmes, minibar, radio and hair-dryer. In some rooms wireless Internet access is available. The suites have two or three rooms, equipped with individually controlled air-conditioning, a spacious bathroom, and a separate study convenient for business meetings. The hotel's recreational facilities include a sauna and a fitness room. Bicycle rental is available. In addition, the town offers a new Thermal & Adventure Bath, located at the junction of the Mosoni-Danube and the Raba rivers, along with a wide range of parks, beaches, and sport facilities.
