A Mercure Budapest City Center (former Hotel Taverna) is located in the 5th district of the capital, in the very centre of business life, and a favourite destination of tourists. The Danube-bank is a 2-minute walk, the Parliament can be reached in about 5 minutes, and more distant parts of the city are also easy to reach on the nearby metros and public transportation lines.

The newly renovated hotel welcomes guests in 223 rooms and 4 convenient apartments. Room equipment includes air-conditioning, safe, minibar, movie channel satellite TV, telephone, WiFi and high speed Internet access. Bathrooms include a bathtub and a separate shower, as well as hairdryer. Two rooms are fit for use by the disabled.

The hotel might be an ideal venue for conferences. Its plenary room and adjoining section rooms can accommodate up to 150 people, with up-to-date technical equipment.

Hotel Taverna was a great place to stay

 
We were very pleased with this lovely hotel located in the center of the very popular pedestrian walkway which is an area of cafes and shops. We were walking distance to just about everything. Even though this hotel is on a busy way, the room was very quiet at night. The room was immaculate and tasteful, room service breakfast was delivered at exactly the time we asked for it. The staff was most helpful in directing us around the city during our short stay. The bathroom was lovely and the towels were lush and fluffy! We were very pleased and would stay there again.
