The Spirit of the Countryside

The Spirit of the Countryside - Skanzen in Szentendre awaits local and international visitors from June until the end of October. The reconstructed village depicts handicraft masters working in their houses and yards, a water mill while crushing grain, and much more - while the delicious smell of strudel draws all within 'smelling distance' to the bakery. The open air museum complex is open from 9am until 5pm, every day, except for Mondays. By public transportation, it is easily accessible by taking the local railway (HÉV) from Batthyányi Square to Szentendre, and then transferring to the bus at terminal 7. By car, road no. 11 runs north from Budapest to Szentendre, where Sztravodai street is the exact location.
