Great viewReview of Balassi Guest House, Budapest, Hungary"On the whole this is a great choice; the price is cheap and provide acceptable and reasonable service. The view from the room is great and it is beyond expectation." Long way from town (nice and quiet). Scenery is nice, but not downtown Budapest." The rooms are showing their age as well as the hotel baths. If you don't mind chipped paint and beat-up looking furniture, this hotel is actually great. Breakfast was the best of the two hotels that I stayed at in Budapest. Nice location about a 5-10 min walk to all the hot spots in Budapest. I would stay here again especially, if I was traveling on a budget. They also upgraded me to a deluxe room free of charge, because they were over-booked for the weekend. So the hotel staff makes up for the short-comings in the age and upkeep of the hotel. Baths were very impressive, however I like my thermal baths a bit hotter than the Hungarian standard of 36-38 C."
