An unforgettable visit in a hurry!

Review of Hotel Charles, Budapest, Hungary

"The Charles hotel was a perfect choice for us to spend 24 hours in the capital after a business trip to Debrecen! The apartment was cosy, warm and clean; the service at the reception - excellent and the breakfast more than substantial and delicious with the variety of food and homemade pastries! We will definitely recommend the hotel to our friends, as well as stay there again in the future!"

A Confusing Experience

Review of Danubius Hotel Gellert, Budapest, Hungary

"There was a real dichotomy to my experience at the Gellert. The staff were lovely, and the public areas of the hotel were gorgeous. But the single room reminded me of the crappy little pensions I used to stay in when I traveled to Europe in the 80s I'm a large adult, and a single bed just doesn't cut it for me. You shouldn't have to rent a "double room" in order to get a "double bed." Plus the plumbing was bad, the bathroom smelled like an outhouse, and the sink had hair in in when I checked in . Yuck! I will not stay in the Gellert again."

Relatively good comfort

Review of City Hotel Matyas, Budapest, Hungary

"The best side of this smallish hotel is its location near everything. There are lots of traffic and noise just outside the hotel and its highly recommended to ask a quiet room situated on the patio side. You arrive easily from international Ferihegy airport by metro; the hotel is just few hundred meters from the Frenciek Tere station. And all the main attractions can be easily attained by public tarnsport. Route maps and information can be catched from the ticket counters of the metro stations but language problems can be anticipated. Don't forget to take a sightseeing tram drive along the Danube riverside. are easily. "
