Gellert Hotel..... fabulousReview of Danubius Hotel Gellert, Budapest, Hungary"As ex BA staff, we've stayed in top hotels around the world. Whilst the breakfast could have been hot rather than warm, the rest of the hotel was superb. The ambience in the hotel is brilliant. As you first walk in the door, there is a feeling of....... class. Check out the loos for hotel guests right of reception..... immaculate. The Coffee bar downstairs sells the best Cappuccino ever, reasonably priced too, accompanied by a Baby Grand piano player (playing the piano) Spa..... out of this world... a must see & do. View across the Danube & Gellert Hill... brilliant If it means paying a little extra... do it, its well worth it. We'd definately go again & recommend to friends & family. Wonderful city break at the GellertReview of Danubius Hotel Gellert, Budapest, Hungary"From the moment we arrived at the Gellert we recieved very professional service from all staff whatever their job, there was always a member of staff around and we felt really looked after. The hotel has a gracious feel about it. The food was excellent - a huge variety at Breakfast, and the Sunday Brunch is something that no-one should miss. Our room was comfortable and contained everything we needed. There were no coffee & tea facilities in the room but a very fine selection was available in the hotel tea rooms, where it was served most elegantly. And of course as guests we were able to use the hotel thermal spa baths etc. as often as we wished. The hotel is well placed for exploring , trams & buses very conveniently situated outside the Hotel or a porter will always get you a taxi and make sure that the driver knows where you want to go. Most of the staff speak some English. Value for money - excellent - and we can't wait to return.
