watch out!!Review of Fortuna Boat Hotel, Budapest, Hungary"As i had read previously on a website, this hotel had 'over booked' and could only give us a twin room for the first night instead of the double we had booked. As a young couple on the first night of our holiday after 6 months apart this was hardly ideal. To their credit, they did seem to upgrade us to a big double at the front of the boat for the other 4 nights (a suite??) which was nice. On top of the discount we got through booking with Hotelstart, they also gave us 10% discount for paying cash. Breakfast was pretty average to be honest and the worst problem for me was the fact that Coffee (or anything else for that matter) was unavailable between 10pm and 8am! unusally no kettle in Room?? They did have a reasonably priced Minibar fridge in each room though. The location is a little further from the action than we would have liked, although the Public transport in budapest is very well organised, efficent and simple to navigte, so was not a problem. (Didnt have to use a taxi once) Overall the hotel, is pretty much a no frills affair and you can find more for your money within the 3 star range. if staying on a Boat is the only important thing when booking a hotel, then its ideal. As i said though, NO GOOD IF YOU HAVE A COFFEE ADICTION!" david hayes (Young couple) from manama, Bahrain (2007. 05. 09.)Good location in BudapestReview of City Hotel Ring, Budapest, Hungary"From the hotel there is very good connections all over the town, to both Buda and Pest. Very helpful and nice staff. Breakfast was good though not so variated. The heavy traffic passing near the hotel does not diminish the view from the room. We have had 5 great days in Budapest." Mature couple from Helsingborg, Sweden, Sweden (2007. 05. 08.) |
