Except for a number of barking dogs in the neighborhood, this is an ideal location near public transportation on the number 8 bus line to the busy Pest side of town. We enjoyed visiting the many historical places of this crowed city, especially a two-hour evening boat trip on the Danube, complete with entertainment and dinner. Die Bauarbeiten sind noch nicht abgeschlossen; es wird noch an vielen Stellen gewerkelt. Der helle Frühstücksraum wirkt teilweise etwas behelfsmäßig; z.B. Salz + Pfeffer in Kaffeetassen mit Löffeln statt in Streuern ... Buffet eher übersichtlich. Die einzige Kellnerin kam mit dem Auffüllen der Speisen nicht so recht nach. Selbst der Kaffee ging aus. Milchprodukte, Wurst + Käse wurden vorbildlich in einer Kühlvitrine aufgebaut. Brotauswahl eher mäßig. Gescmackvolle Einrichtung des Zimmers, alles funktionstüchtig, jedoch latent unangenehmer Geruch im Bad (nach "verstopften Abfluss"). Die meisten Sehenswürdigkeiten sind fußläufig zu erreichen. The pension is a huge converted luxury home with three floors for just four rooms (and the host couple). The furnishings are modern and beautiful but maintains that warm comfort of home. The bathrooms are also modern and western-styled. Above and beyond all is the friendly couple that owns the pension - Alex and his wife are simply a delightful and atentive to your every need. She makes you feel as if you are staying at your grandmums as she scurries about to help you in every way even to cook a fresh hot delicious homemade meal (for 5 euro or less). Alex provides a transfer service to or from the airport or train stations (15-20 euro) I can't say enough great things about my stay at Alex's. The nightly single room rate of less than 30 euro made me feel guilty that I was taking advantage. When did a hotel or pension ever make you feel that?"
