Disillusioned in Budapest GellertReview of Danubius Hotel Gellert, Budapest, Hungary"I first stayed in the Gellert in 1995 and have been there several times over the years. I was in Budapest recently for the first time in 5 years and was so disappointed with the Gellert. Nothing had changed in fact it was like the bad old communist days! Apart from the reception and cleaning, the staff were cranky, slovenly and ill -trained. Breakfast was terrible-cheap watered down fruit juices, lukewarm water for tea and a poor selection of cold meats and cheeses!" Murtagh Forde () from City, Ireland (2008. 06. 11.)Hotel Pilvax- a great base for a Budapest breakReview of City Hotel Pilvax, Budapest, Hungary"A small friendly hotel, with lots of character, very friendly and helpfull staff,in an unbeatable location for a short break in Budapest. The Hotel receptionists, waiters and bar staff were always so friendly and helpfull and were obviously happy in their jobs. The location of the Hotel was absolutely perfect for seeing all the major sights of Budapest, and also ideal for spending lots of time and money on nearby Vaci utca, the main shopping street." Roger Stuart Jacques (Friends) from Bristol, ENGLAND (2008. 06. 04.)Another lovely stay in Budapest and the GellertReview of Danubius Hotel Gellert, Budapest, Hungary"My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Gellert again and have had a wonderful time. It is a privillege to stay there and enjoy the ambience, starting at the welcome at the front door through to the lady in the lift down to the thermal baths. Our room was lovely and the situation of the hotel excellent. We made good use of Budapests's trams and buses and the Gellert is very handy for this. Definitely worth a repeat visit. It was also nice to see "our" hotel on Michael Palin's " New Europe" on May 27th." PAUL FRANCIS GREEN (Mature couple) from Newport South Wales, U.K. (2008. 06. 03.) |
