Very good value for money!

Review of Hotel Papillon, Budapest, Hungary

"I have spent ten nights in Hotel Papillon in Budapest and I would definitelly reccomend it to eveyone who is interested in a clean, decent price hotel with breakfast included. It is also very well positioned in Buda at ten minuts walking distance to trams,to Moskva Square metro and to mammuth shopping centre. All in all it was a very positive experience and I would gladly come back again!."

Review of Danubius Hotel Gellert, Budapest, Hungary

"WE WERE SO HAPPY TO HAVE MADE OUR CHOICE OF THIS HOTEL. OUR ROOMS WERE A BIT OLD FASHIONED BUT VERY COMFORTABLE AND CLEAN. THE STAFF WERE GREAT AND HAVING USE OF THE THERMAL BATHS WITH NO EXTRA CHARGE WAS THE ICING ON THE CAKE. WELL WORTH A VISIT."

Review of Danubius Hotel Gellert, Budapest, Hungary

"This was a great experience for me, even though I was alone in the beautiful, romantic hotel suite peering out onto the stunning backdrop of the River danube. I made my days eventful travelling the trams and busses getting to see the rich treasures of this historic city, (castles, old towns, scenic mountains and Spa baths) i could recommend... 1. buy a 3 day travelcard for 3,100 Forints. (you can use on busses, trams, trains and underground. great value and they even have night buses) buy a 7 day travelcard if you r staying even 1 day longer, (only cost about 500 forints more!) (wish someone had told me! i bought two 3 day cards for 3,100 Ft each time!!) 2. go to see the (royal palace)castle in the day 3. go to see the (royal palace)castle in the night 4. Go to Octogon by Tram and walk around the cafes and clubs at nite around there. 5. go to cafe new york near Hotel mercure. (tram station Blaha Lujza) fine dining at its bestest!!! Flash gaff, great food. 6. Dip in the gellert hotel thermal pools. 7. Go to heroes Square, amazing. then on same trip go to nearby city park and dip in the incredible outdoor thermal pools in Szechnenyi Spa, (even in winter, these spas are incredible and comfortable) BUT bring your own towel (as their concept of towel means Table cloth!) and if possible sneak your hotel robes out there. in winter you will be thankful you did. (there are plenty of indoor spas and pools there too but it is the huge outdoor arena oozing steam hazes that you will remember for ever I could go on and on but have to work now but let me finish with important info... 1. Dont go to the striptease bars ever! I salivated outside many a venue but remembered if i go in I may not come out! i saw unwary groups of young people being lured in side and only hope they will not be added to the terrible experiences of other travellers who say they were intimidated, bullied and defrauded in those places. (guess there's no such thing as a free lunch!) However if you have to try the experience ONLY go to 4PLAY lounge where i went after careful research who would give me the mildest beating if i refused to pay 60,000 Forints for a watery coke! it turned out this place is safe, freindly and cool. You only pay about 1,000 Ft for a beer.(800 Ft for a coke) and suprisingly they didnt even hassle me for my change! but really it was glossy and boring and did little to dampen my now bellowing fan of lust for hungarian females. I did howvevr find a great place quite by accident where all my dreams were answered and i met some beautiful and genuinely freindly hungarian playmates who took pity on me, adopted me and showed me around after that. (they were genuine people who didnt try anything funny with me, (until i did!). and i will be inviting one of them to come stay with me in one of my homes in Thailand or malaysia. (of course i will pay for her ticket but i didnt tell her that. (A gentlemen never offers, he just does!) could tell you where this club is but i am keeping some secrets to myself for when i go back!!! so leaves you to explore for yourself! Enjoy. there are rich cultural, historic and night time rewards to be reaped in this beautiful city which has only wetted my apetite to go there again very soon, adel"
