The town of Mogyorod is situated at by the Godollo hills, 18 kilometers northeast of Budapest, in Pest County. Due to a suburban train line (HEV), it has a very good connection with the capital. Local sights include the St. Lesley�s Chapel and lookout on Somlyo-Hill, the cellar row, the main square, the Catholic church built on the ruins of an old monastery, and the car race Hungaroring.
The Aquarena Water Park is located in the outskirts of Mogyorod. The park offers 21 slides (of 1.5 km length altogether), adventure pools, a diving pool, a Jacuzzi, a slow river, interactive games, a kids' playhouse and sport fields. Various events and programs are also held. The Aquarena is open from spring until autumn, usually from the middle of May until the end of August, every day from 9am until 7pm.
