The Carl Lutz Memorial Room, Emlékszoba is situated in the heart of downtown Budapest, in the so-called Glass House of the 5th district, close to other sites and historic landmarks of jewish history. Carl Lutz was a Swiss vice-consul in Budapest between 1942 and 1945, and participated in saving thousand, ten thousand lives.
The memorial room is open each day of the week from 1pm until 4pm, visits can be arranged at other times upon previous agreement. The exhibition is primarily in Hungarian, but English tours are available as well – lasting for min. half an hour, one hour. There is no entrance fee or other fees.
