The Gellert Bath, a most hunique spa in a historical building, is located right next to Gellert hill, along the Danube on the Buda side of the capital, at Freedom (Szabadsag) bridge. The building offers beautifully ornamented interior space with mosaics, statues and stain-glass windows. The spa is right next to Hotel Gellert, guests of the hotel have easy access.
Even back during the Tukish era, a bath was built at the feet of Gellert hill, and the excellent thermal water has been used through the centuries. The Gellert Bath opened its doors in 1918, with additional facilities during the next decade.
