The Deli-Southern Railway Station is located at the western part of Budapest, on the Buda side, at the conjunction of Alkotas Avenue and Krisztina Ring. Unlike the other two major railway stations in Budapest, this one reflects a modern style. The station hosts train lines leading towards the western region of Hungary, including Lake Balaton, and the south-western suburbs.
As the original Buda Railway Station was completely destroyed during the second World War, today�s building complex was constructed in the 1960�s. The station of today requires renovation, plans for which are under process.
