Szepasszonyvolgy, the valley of the beautiful lady, is located in northern Hungary, in the southwestern part of Eger. It is a higly popular destination of wine tourism. The soft vulcanic stone of the Eger hills provide an ideal location for wine cellars, keeping a constant 10°C air temperature, highly favourable for storing wine. Among the numerous local cellars, many are worthy of note. Some have unique traditions, some have notable structures or ornaments, some include a well, and some have a small stream flowing across.
