The Kingdom of Belgium is a country in northwest Europe, bordered by the Netherlands, Germany, Luxembourg, and France, with a short coastline on the North Sea. Belgium's main geographical regions: the coastal plain in the north-west and the central plateau both belong to the Anglo-Belgian Basin. The climate is maritime temperate, with significant amounts of rain in all seasons. Tourism is one of the country's smaller industries, however its easy accessibility from elsewhere in Europe still makes it a popular tourist destination. Much of the tourism industry is located either at the heavily developed coastline, or in the Ardennes. Brussels and the Flemish cities of Bruges, Ghent and Antwerp attract many cultural tourists.
