Ukraine is a country in Eastern Europe. It is located at the northwest end of the Black Sea, with Russia to the east, Belarus to the north, Poland to the northwest, Slovakia and Hungary to the west, and Romania to the south west and south, with Moldova in between. The capital, Kiev, is one of the oldest cities in Eastern Europe, its official history dating back to the 5th century. Pretty sites include the National Opera House, and the St. Michael's Golden-Domed Cathedral.
