+ Friendliness of the staff, Internet access. Hotel was good value for money. - Location was not that great - no shops or cafes nearby. I stayed for 5 days at Hotel Charles and was very satisfied with my stay. The hotel does not give a good first impressýon from the outside, but once inside everything was fine and the staff were very helpful and fiýendly. The room was spacious and had free wireless Internet access. I also appreciate that they enforce the rules in the non-smoking rooms (in the room next to mine). The hotel is not in the main downtown area but the public transportation was easy to use specially with a Budapest card. If you like to walk, you can easily get to the Castle area and the Danube waterfront. Overall I think the Hotel Charles is good value for money.
