Hotel Charles was a nice comfortable base for our weekend in Budapest. Although the immediate area around the hotel is residential and away from the tourist attractions, you are within 15 minutes walking distance of the Buda Castle attractions and a 10 minute bus ride away from Pest City Centre, metro and tram links. We were just getting the hang of the public transport system when it was time to leave, and the staff were helpful in giving advice about getting around. We would stay there again.
