Keszthely is a charming town north of Lake Balaton in western Hungary. The Festetics-Castle is one of the largest and most properly renovated castle in Hungary. The majority of the Baroque Castle was built in the second part of the 18th century. The unique furniture is the artwork of the local carpenter master: Janos Kerbl.
The castle was used as an army hospital and barrack during the World War, and served as a dormitory, a city library, and a music school afterwards.
