Kámoni Botanical Garden - Szombathely

The Kámoni Botanical Garden is located in a 20-hectare land along the Gyongyos-Brook in Szombathely, in western Hungary. It was established by Mihaly Saaghy in the 1860's, whose son extended the nicely landscaped garden, and planted 500 additional trees. After the destruction of the World Wars, the Scientific Institution of Forestry took custody, and turned the botanic garden into a most unique park. The garden can be visited freely all year around.
