The Old Synagogue of Sopron was built in the 1300's, the early Gothyc style synagogue was outstanding in its kind in Central Europe. The building complex includes a main wing, a women's prayer chambre, and the following side wings: a spital for the accommodation of rangers, the home of samas, the church serviceman, as well as a well for ritual bathing. The women's chamber now includes an exhibition, offering insight into the history of the building, as well as objects and imagery of jewish religious life.
