Old Synagogue - Sopron

The Old Synagogue of Sopron was built in the 1300's, the early Gothyc style synagogue was outstanding in its kind in Central Europe. The building complex includes a main wing, a women's prayer chambre, and the following side wings: a spital for the accommodation of rangers, the home of samas, the church serviceman, as well as a well for ritual bathing. The women's chamber now includes an exhibition, offering insight into the history of the building, as well as objects and imagery of jewish religious life.
The museum is open between the 1st of April and the 31st of October, every day except for Mondays, from 10am until 6pm.
