The town of Siklos is situated in the southern edge of the Hungarian Lowland, south of Pecs and the Villanyi-Mountains. The Siklos Castle-Fort is one of the most intact fort in Hungary. It was built during the 13th century, but as it was subsequently enlarged and converted a number of times, today�s appearance reflects its state in the 18th century.
The castle halls host a jail museum, a lepidarium, art exhibitions, and an exhibition on the history of mitten-manufactory in Pecs.
