Szigligeti Theatre - Szolnok

The town of Szolnok is located in Jasz-Nagykun-Szolnok county, in the centre of the Great Plain, along the Tisza River, at a busy crossing. The town is a major cultural centre of its region, hosting the director's seat of the county's museums, various cultural halls and libraries, an artist's camp, and the Szigligeti Theatre.
The Theatre in Szolnok was named after Ede Szigligeti, the establisher of Hungarian folk art theatre. Built in 1912, it was renovated in 1991, so it combines Secessionist and Modern architectural styles.
