Nyiregyháza Zoo

Nyiregyháza is located in the northeastern region of Hungary, close to the Slovakian, Ukraine and Romanian border. Sights in the city include the seat of the city and the county council, various historical church buildings, and an exhibition on the Upper-Tisza region�s water issues.
The Sosto (salt lake) Zoo � Nyiregyhaza Animal Park includes species that for the most part reside in the Carpathian Basin. Local domestic animals are also kept. The zoo has a sweet- and a salt-water aquarium, as well as a nice birdhouse with a great variety of parrots. The animals are arranged according to the area of their nativity, and the exhibitions include ethnical and anthropological curiosities as well. The zoo is open all year around, every day from 9am until dusk.
