The village of Orfu is located in the Mecsek Mountain, 14 kilometers north of Pecs. The area draws many tourists with its artificial lake. The shore includes beaches, hike and horseback-riding routes, as well as boating and sailing facilities.
Behind the lake, a mill museum sits on the stream � the only watermill in Hungary that is still in operation all year around. The mill is open every day except for Monday from the beginning of May until the end of October. Off-season, it can be visited by appointments, with a guide. Next to the museum, an ethnological museum offers a unique exhibition about the region. The village is a center of horse sports.
