Noszvaj is situated at a 10-kilometres distance from the town of Eger, in the northern part of Hungary, at the border of the Buk National Conservation Area. Major sights of the settlement include the De la Motte Castle, the Galassy Castle known as Hotel Fenyves, the farmhouse of the Pataki family, a cellar built in Classic style during the 19th century, and a historic church building.
The De la Motte Castle in Noszvaj was built by Janos Povolny during the second half of the 18th century. Some rooms of the castle serve as a museum, while the larger part of the building is a hotel. The nicely landscaped park includes rare plants as well.
