The town of Eger is situated in Northeastern Hungary, it is the county seat of Heves. It is a town rich in historical sights. World-famous museums and monuments include the castle fort, the minaret, the basilica, Dobo Square, the valley of the beautiful lady (Szepasszonyvolgy), historic churches, and the gallery.
The Basilica in Eger was built during the first half of the 19th century. The Classicist dom is 18-metres wide, with 54-metres high towers. The facade is ornamented by a relief depicting scenes from the life of Jesus, while the gable includes allegorical statues of faith, hope, and charity.
