The Punkosdfurdo Beach is situated on the northern part of Budapest, on the Buda side, close to Bekasmegyer, on the Danube bank. The beach was built in 1935, and renovated in 2003, now offering a beach pool, an adventure pool, a children’s pool with slides, a Finnish sauna and a large park. It is open during the summer season only, from 9am until 7pm, with longer hours if the weater permits.
The beach is accessible from the road connecting Budapest with Szentendre, on public transportation by bus 34, 145 or 146 from the Bekasmegyer station of the suburb train (HEV) leaving from Batthyany square.
